Itinerary
Arrival at Colombo International Airport where you will be welcomed by the local representative. After completing immigration formalities proceed to Kandy, located approximately 115 km from Colombo with a journey time of about 3.5 to 4 hours by road. The scenic drive passes through lush green countryside and small towns. On arrival check in at the hotel and relax. In the evening visit the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most sacred Buddhist temples in the world which houses a relic of Lord Buddha’s tooth. Later explore the beautiful Kandy Lake area and local markets before returning to the Hotel. Dinner, Overnight stay at Hotel in Kandy.
After breakfast proceed for a city tour of Kandy. Visit the Peradeniya Botanical Garden, located about 6 km from Kandy city and takes around 15–20 minutes by road. The garden is famous for its large collection of orchids, tropical plants and giant bamboo trees spread across beautifully landscaped grounds. Later visit a traditional gem museum and a handicraft centre to learn about Sri Lanka’s famous gemstone industry. In the evening enjoy a cultural dance performance showcasing traditional Sri Lankan music and dance. Dinner, Overnight stay at Hotel in Kandy.
After breakfast, Checkout from Hotel, proceed to Nuwara Eliya, located approximately 80 km from Kandy with a journey time of about 2.5–3 hours through winding mountain roads and tea plantations. En route visit a tea plantation and tea factory where visitors can observe the tea making process and taste freshly prepared Ceylon tea. Nuwara Eliya is often called “Little England” due to its cool climate and colonial architecture. After arrival visit Gregory Lake and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the hill station. Dinner, Overnight stay at Hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
After breakfast, Check out from Hotel, proceed to the coastal town of Bentota, located about 210 km from Nuwara Eliya with a journey time of approximately 5 to 6 hours by road. The journey offers scenic views of mountains, waterfalls and lush green landscapes before reaching the southern coastal region. On arrival check in at the Hotel and relax at Bentota Beach which is famous for its golden sand and calm waters. Dinner, Overnight stay at Hotel in Bentota.
After breakfast enjoy local sightseeing in Bentota including a visit to the Madu River for a relaxing boat safari. The Madu River boat ride allows visitors to explore mangrove forests, small islands and traditional fishing villages. Later visit the famous Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project, located about 10 km from Bentota with a travel time of around 20 minutes, where visitors can learn about turtle conservation efforts. Later proceed to Colombo covering 85 km in around 2 to 2.5 hours. On arrival enjoy a brief city tour including Galle Face Green and shopping areas. Overnight stay at hotel in Colombo.
After breakfast check out from the Hotel and transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your onward journey. The airport is located about 35 km from Colombo city centre and the journey takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour by road depending on traffic conditions. Depart Sri Lanka with wonderful memories of scenic landscapes, hill stations and beautiful beaches.
